Big Bin Event running Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Location: Gold Bar Community Hall at 4620 - 105 Ave. NW
This free waste disposal event is open to Gold Bar residents with an active Gold Bar league membership. Be ready to show your current membership card at the event or buy a membership at the event (cash or cheque), online through the EFCL website or from our friends at All-Care Pharmacy.
Acceptable items
- Regular household items
- Household items that are too large or voluminous for regular garbage collection
- Excess yard waste
- Electronics waste (computers, laptops, monitors, printers, cellphones,etc)
Unacceptable items
- Household hazardous waste
- Paint and other chemicals
- Items containing freon (refrigerators, A/C units)
- Concrete, commercial waste
Community swap ‘take it or leave it’ space to encourage reuse of gently used items with your neighbours. Computer and electronics waste recycling by the Electronic Recycling Association. Bring all computers, phones, electronics, TVs, blenders and anything with a power cord.
